What was the highlight of The Premier Notting Hill

My stay was overall very good.

The location was great. The room was comfortable, perfect size for a solo traveler. I needed to add an extra day to my booking since my friend’s flight was delayed and they were able to accommodate me with no trouble. The breakfast was also good and very convenient. I would definitely stay again.

The room size was small, especially the bathroom and shower. Worked fine for me, but I could see others having difficulty.

Premier Notting hill hotel is a wee gem

From the response to my first email for a shower instead of bath in en-suite to the friendly and helpful staff who genuinely made us feel welcome, I can't fault this hotel for service.

The dining room for breakfast was a bit small to cater for all guests, resulting in a queue forming in corridor.

Great employees, but poor cleaning practices.

I liked the employees and most of the service they provided. The room was pleasant.

After being in the property for day 3 of 7. I noticed that the cleaning was less than desirable. The dirty dishes were not picked up daily. Only the bed was made, the trash emptied and I was given new towels. I did write a note telling the staff the dishes were dirty. They moved the note and left the dirty dishes. The dishes didn’t seem clean when I first got up the room. I hand washed them. I was also give ice (not provided in the form of an ice machine) in the used cup that I brought down, not a brand new one. Also one time I was given a mug with a chip on the handle. I feel like someone should examine all of the dishes and remove the ones with defects. I also noticed there was a bottom sheet (a flat sheet used as the bottom sheet.) But no sheet between me and the blanket. I was not happy about that. I asked for a top sheet and they literally put on top of the blanket. I’m sure they don’t wash the blankets between guest stays. It’s gross to think that someone else was sleeping under the same blanket. I also noticed when the white male staff member was working, he had a poor attitude. My last day, as I was checking out, I had my handicap cane and 2 pieces of luggage and a backpack. I was in the lobby and waiting for my Uber. He saw me struggling with my luggage and the door. He completely ignored me and there was no one else around. This is a deep contrast that I had when I arrived. The Indian owners and staff members were excellent. They helped me come in and get situated. I am very happy with the employees. I think for the price paid….rated 5 stars…everything should have been perfect.

My third visit - it’s nice enough, not interested in fancy boutique hotel. Keep returning for the neighborhood.

Very convenient location. A small hotel with friendly staff. A/C which not every small hotel has. A short walk to Portobello and Hyde Park. Easy bus ride to Knightsbridge. Put me central to my relatives making it easy to meet in various neighborhoods. The hotel pillows could be changed and bedside lights are not great for reading. Minor issues.

Family meet up in Notting Hill

Friendly and welcoming reception staff. The room was traditionally furnished, in keeping with the building. En-suite bathroom was well lit and exceptionally clean.

Stayed in executive twin room 806, unfortunately it was in the basement of the hotel. There was no natural light in the room. I love the opportunity to see the morning view out of a window.

Overall, the friendly, helpful staff compensated somewhat for the tiny room and disappointing bacon.

Great location - lovely quiet square in a classy multi-cultural district. Very convenient for London Underground. Some very good traditional pubs nearby and a good choice of eating outlets.

The room was tiny! Access to the bed from from one side only - I had to climb over my sleeping wife to get out for a pee in the night! The bacon at breakfast was too 'continental' - would have much preferred traditional English bacon.

The hotel was nice with very good reception staff. Location was good.

The room was small and quite warm even though it had air conditioning. The air conditioning unit was right over the bed. So you could only put it on at certain times. I would not decribe this room as a deluxe room.

Small Rooms, Warm Staff

The staff was excellent. They were very welcoming and helpful. After the first night, we asked if they could replace the comforter, which we found too hot, with a blanket. They put a much lighter comforter, which looked new, on the bed for us straightaway. We appreciated their responsiveness to our request. Also, the bathroom was sizeable and the shower had great water pressure!

It's hard to write this complaint when we knew going in that the hotels in this area have small rooms. We were still unprepared for just how small ours was. Even when the staff kindly switched us to a different room which was configured differently and had a little more elbow room, it was still hard to find spots to keep our 2 bags and 2 day packs. We had a "Deluxe Double" that's really best suited for one person. The bed on one side and at the end only had about 8 inches of space between it and the walls for my husband to maneuver through to get to his side. It's London, and prices are high - but the room seemed disproportionately priced given how tiny it was. That said, I'm not sure you can do much better unless you are willing to pay considerably more. The conscientiousness of the staff, cleanliness, and location went a long way in making up for the small accommodations.

Very nice staff at the front desk, good selection for breakfast. The location is the best, very quiet neighbourhood close to Hyde Park, tube and buses.

The size of the room is extremely small. Shower is small, very hard to move around. I could barely fit my small suitcase anywhere whithout tripping over it.

Staff makes this hotel special

The staff was outstanding. They always greeted you and were willing to do whatever you needed. The breakfast was very good. Coffee, tea, and cookies in room were replenished daily. Closest tube is about 6 minute walk.

There was no full length mirror in room, closet is tiny in Superior Single Room, and you have to sit at a weird angle when using the restroom. I didn’t expect a small frig in the room, but it would have been very helpful.
